Therapy dogs relieve stress during finals week

Therapy dogs have been invited to visit the Darling Library during finals week. The purpose is to provide stress relief for our students. Therapy dogs are not the same as service dogs that specifically trained to help people who have disabilities. Therapy Dogs International (TDI®) is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating, testing and registration of therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions and wherever else therapy dogs are needed.Many types of libraries have employed their services.

WorldCat and WMS Scheduled Downtime- Jan. 3rd

The Codex Sinaiticus is on display

The Codex Sinaiticus (facsimile edition, 2010) is now officially on display in the Darling Library. Dr. David Matson, Professor of Biblical Studies, explained the significance of this biblical manuscript to students, staff, faculty, and friends of Hope International University in attendance at a very short event.

Camino - Interlibrary Loan on Steroids

If you have ever wanted to borrow a book through interlibrary loan but were discouraged when it was going to take two weeks to get here, try again. The Darling Library has joined Camino! This shuttle service will deliver books to us within two days. That’s like Amazon, only free! And you have to return the book within 45 days... and not all books are available through Camino...
