The project is funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Washington University Medical Alumni Association and is housed at Washington University. Atlas of the Human Body
Sponsored by the American Medical Association, the site provides general information concerning various body structures. Illustrations, along with brief descriptions of the functions of the systems is displayed.

Internet Directory for Botany
Comprehensive, award winning site. An excellent source for finding places, societies, groups, taxonomic information, economic botany, ethnobotany, conservation, threatened plants and other botanical information.

Kimball's Biology Pages
The site is an adaptation of the 6th edition of Professor Kimball's Biology and consists of an alphabetized list of biological terms with links to discussions, often illustrated, on a wide range of biological topics.

Plants
From the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the PLANTS Database provides a single source of standardized information about plants. PLANTS provides standardized plant names, symbols and other plant attribute information.

Award winning site allows the user to type in chemical name, CAS Number, molecular formula, or molecular weight. Results include synonyms, melting point, boiling point, specific gravity, and other information about the chemical. Includes links to other pertinent web sites

General Chemisty Online
From the Chemistry Department at Frostburg State University, the site contains over 400 chemistry links, tutorials, exams and quizzes, glossary, frequently asked chemistry questions and other information and links.

Geological Society of America
The home page of the GSA.

Mineralogy Database
The mineral database contains more than 5,000 web pages of mineral data. There are 4,102 individual mineral species descriptions with links. Descriptions include chemical composition, physical and optical properties, Dana's New classification, Strunz classification. Some color photos also included.

National Geologic Map Database
Produced by the USGS. Contains geologic maps and geologic names

Topozone
This is the Web's first interactive topo map of the entire United States. The site has every USGS 1:100,000, 1:25,000, and 1:24,000 scale map for the entire United States.
